Canadian Pay Stub Generator FAQs

What is a Canadian employee pay statement?

It is a pay-period record showing the employer and employee, pay dates, earnings, payroll deductions, net pay and relevant year-to-date totals. The generator formats user-entered information into a professional statement.

Which provinces and territories are supported?

Employment in all ten provinces and three territories is supported for ordinary periodic employee pay statements. Quebec uses a dedicated QPP, QPP2, reduced-rate EI, QPIP, federal-abatement and Quebec income-tax calculation path.

How are pension-plan, insurance and income-tax deductions calculated?

The calculation uses the pay date, pay frequency, province or territory of employment, the applicable TD1 or TP-1015.3-V claim amounts, current earnings and current-employer YTD values. Outside Quebec it applies CPP/CPP2 and EI; for Quebec employment it applies QPP/QPP2, reduced-rate EI, QPIP, federal abatement and Quebec income tax. Review every result before using the statement.

Can I create several pay statements at once?

Yes. Choose one to ten statements. Earlier pay-period dates and unique statement numbers are generated for review, each statement is recalculated, and the final download contains one page per selected statement.

Does my home province determine payroll deductions?

Not necessarily. The province or territory of employment drives the payroll-deduction calculation. Residence and mailing-address fields are collected separately.

Is this a T4, T4A, RL-1 or CRA payroll filing?

No. This tool creates user-supplied employee pay statements for recordkeeping. It does not create or file year-end tax slips, remit payroll deductions, operate payroll or provide legal, tax or accounting advice.

PayStubCheck is a document-generation service. It does not verify employment or income, file payroll information, remit deductions or replace professional payroll, legal, tax or accounting advice. Review all user-entered information and calculated results before downloading or using a statement.
