These Terms of Service apply whenever you access or use PayStubCheck.com (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms; if you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. Nature of Service
PayStubCheck.com offers online document-preparation tools for personal recordkeeping. Documents created with the Service are not official payroll records, tax documents or employer-issued documents. They are computer-generated from the information you supply and are intended only for personal recordkeeping, reference and informational use.
2. Permitted Use
Documents created with the Service may be used for:
- Personal financial recordkeeping
- Income estimation and budgeting
- Requesting records from employers
- General reference and education
3. Prohibited Use
Documents created with the Service may NOT be used to:
- Misrepresent your income or employment status to any lender, landlord, government agency or other party
- Commit fraud, identity theft or any other illegal act
- File tax returns or make official government submissions
- Stand in for official employer-issued documents in any legal or financial proceeding
Any fraudulent, illegal or misleading use of documents from the Service is strictly prohibited and may be a criminal offense. We cooperate fully with law-enforcement investigations.
4. Payment and Refunds
Because a document is generated as soon as payment is made, refunds are limited to the situations set out in our Refund Policy. Those situations include qualifying delivery or technical-generation failures, duplicate charges, and certain verified Canadian calculation defects that support cannot correct. Refund requests must follow the timing and information requirements in the Refund Policy.
5. Accuracy Disclaimer
U.S. calculations rely on publicly available IRS and state guidance. Canadian employee pay-statement calculations rely on published CRA payroll formulas and supported provincial or territorial parameters. All calculations are provided for reference only. PayStubCheck.com does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, legal compliance or fitness of any document for a particular purpose. Review every input and result, and consult a qualified payroll, tax or accounting professional when appropriate.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PayStubCheck.com and its operators are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or of any document it generates.
7. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the applicable jurisdiction. Any dispute will be resolved through binding arbitration rather than in court.
